Broadway Under the Stars at Jack London State Park in Sonoma Valley

Media consistently names it among the best outdoor concert venues in the country. Well, we’re going to go ahead and call it #1. Transcendence Theatre Company’s “Broadway Under the Stars” in Jack London State Historic Park has the tagline ‘Best Night Ever’ for a reason.

Set within the open-air ruins of legendary adventure writer Jack London’s beloved Sonoma Valley homestead, you’ll be among hiking trails and redwoods, with rolling vineyards as your backdrop to this popular outdoor summer performance series.

Kick things off around 5 p.m. with a pre-performance picnic. Bring your own food (wine and beer can be purchased on-site), or buy tasty artisan fare from one of several food trucks. Eat, drink, and relax ... you're about to be thoroughly entertained!

Showtime’s around 7:30 p.m. and features an absolutely stellar cast of professional performers from Broadway and national tour productions, including “Hamilton,” “Chicago,” “Mamma Mia,” “Hairspray,” and “Wicked.”

Enjoy the songs and storyline as the sun sets across the valley and the stars begin glinting in the darkening sky. This historic venue, these fantastic performers, the sun, the moon, the stars, the wine ....

NEXT SHOWS: The next Broadway Under the Stars production is “Those Dancin’ Feet” with dates from August 9 to August 25 (and tickets sell quickly).

HIKING BONUS: Head out on a short hike under a forested canopy—including second-growth redwoods—to the ruins of Jack London’s dream home, Wolf House, which mysteriously burned down just two weeks before he and his wife, Charmian, were to move in.

Bring layers as late evening can get quite cool on some nights. No dogs. Based in Sonoma County, Transcendence Theatre Company is an award-winning, nonprofit arts organization comprised of artists with professional experience from Broadway, film, and television.
