You Go, Curl!

Learn to Curl at Hollywood Curling

People on ice learning to curl at Hollywood Curling

There are those certain sports you don’t hear much about until the Olympics come around. You know, like, curling! With its 40-pound granite stones and sweeping action, curling requires strategy, finesse, and really dapper uniforms. It’s also super fun. So where, other than Norway or Canada, can you try it out? LA, baby! Hollywood Curling’s Learn to Curl classes make the perfect venue for newcomers. Take the ice, and friendly curling instructors will teach you the basics.

By the end of the evening, you’ll be pushing off the hack (a starting block on ice), sliding across the ice on one knee, and letting the stone loose. Your mates help sweep it down the ice so you can put it in the house—the bull’s-eye on the ice.

If you don’t look graceful right away, that’s okay—few do. Can’t get enough? Ask Hollywood Curling about beginners’ leagues. Sweep!

Learn to Curl. Space can be limited, be sure to register in advance. Rubber-soled sneakers recommended, and warm comfortable layers. Hollywood Curling.
