How to Help with California Wildfires

It’s hard to see the devastation and grief caused by the numerous California wildfires, including the tragic loss of lives and destruction of iconic landscapes. We’re a strong state; we’ll recover. But it’s tough-going right now. A way to help: Donate money. Charity Navigator is a solid resource for vetting options and understanding a charity’s reputation.

A few organizations seeking donations: the Humane Society of Ventura County—taking in and caring for domestic animals and livestock. Caring Choices in Chico—helping displaced families, and animals. The Entertainment Industry Foundation, a fund helping firefighters. There’s also a GoFundMe page providing info on relief efforts in Northern and Southern California.

Like everyone else, we salute the firefighters: absolute heroes.
