POST'S 2024 Wildflower Guide

When the sun is out and the weather’s warmer, discover 11 premier places to walk among the wildflowers—from easy and flat walks to hikes that are more of a workout. Don’t just stop and smell the roses, stop and smell the California rose on the Serpentine Loop.

The Bald Hills loop won’t be bald for long, as spring’s tidy tips and sticky monkey flowers splash the hills in yellow. The beautiful River Trail holds the key to the tender Pacific bleeding heart; and Bird Trail will be filled with more than birdsong and coastal wetland views: See the signature California poppy and other luminaries among the kaleidoscope of California flora.

The guide’s got plenty of helpful information and additional tips, including best times to go, trail details, and recommendations for other wildflower walks nearby. That’s some flower power!
