Rediscover Reno Tahoe This Summer

Rediscover Reno Tahoe! As unique as it is diverse, Reno is where Burning Man creativity meets the Mount Rose Wilderness, neon lights meet the Truckee River, and craft beer meets axe throwing! Now that travel is back, drive or take a short flight to The Biggest Little City in the World: Reno, Nevada!

Refresh: Float the Truckee River!

Float the Truckee River! Flowing right through the heart of downtown Reno and flanked by the beautiful Riverwalk, the Truckee River is the perfect summer refresher. Stroll the Riverwalk, watching kayakers and tubers, or join the fun and get in the water! An inner tube is a great way to see another side of Reno. Or grab an outdoor seat at a riverside restaurant or brew pub and watch the action go by. Whatever floats your boat (er, tube!)

BONUS: The Reno River Festival is back in 2021!

Rediscover: Reno's Neon Line

Reno Neon Line downtown

Take a walk on the wild side. Reno’s Neon Line is one of the newest additions to the city, featuring Burning Man art installations that light up at night, bright and bold against the backdrop of the city. There’s also a really cool row of refurbished historic neon signs. Reno’s proximity to Burning Man means the artistic influence is everywhere—from Midtown murals to downtown sculptures and artistic gardens along the Reno Riverwalk.

BONUS: While Burning Man is on hold for just one more year, Reno is hosting the Sierra Arts Festival 2021: a two-day outdoor art market with music, a beer garden, food trucks, and plenty of fun events.

Refill: Reno's Breweries

Reno brewery

Whether you know your hops (notes of Citra and Mosaic) or you just know a good beer when you taste it, Reno’s beer scene won’t disappoint. Check out their Brewery Map for finding breweries (or distilleries) that fit your style (dog-friendly, family-friendly, food served) and then work up a thirst! Revision Brewing has a rotating tap of super tasty IPAs (Reno AF is a must-taste), and Reno’s Brewery District has plenty of other breweries! The Depot Craft Brewery and Distillery is great for grabbing a hefty burger and mezcal-infused margarita.

BONUS: Join the Reno Wine Walk! Starting in June, get a ticket to the monthly wine walk in downtown Reno. At this fun and quirky event (costumes encouraged) stroll by several bars, restaurants, and storefronts in the Riverwalk District. Tickets are limited so get ’em while you can!

Just fifteen minutes from downtown Reno several great hikes await: Hunter Creek Falls is a local favorite for its year-round access and varied landscape.
