Goat Yoga!

Do Yoga with Baby Goats at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay

Baby Goats roam about as people take part in a yoga session at Goat Yoga at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay.

Downward dog, meet goat. As in Goat Yoga at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay. The fifteen or so baby goats roaming the barn-turned-yoga-studio here are the yogi partners you never knew you needed. During the 45-minute session you’ll flow with these furry friends as they nibble at your child’s pose, bahhh at your upward-facing dog, and hop on your back during your cat/cow (just to be really clear on who rules the roost around these parts).

The biggest challenge? Keeping a straight face as a baby goat crawls between your hands mid-pose. Laughter is all but guaranteed, and the heartwarming environment is part of the point … animals bring good vibes and can be a vital part of health and well-being! Don’t worry if you’re quite serious about your yoga yet can’t resist the cuteness: There’s a designated 15 minutes at the end of each class to play, cuddle, and take selfies with the goats.

If you’re lucky, Charlotte the miniature pig may make an appearance during your warrior poses. Round out the session with some ice cream made fresh at Lemos Farm, and meet some of the other farm animals that reside there. Bahhhmaste.

BONUS: If you feel like a well-earned glass of Riesling after your session, pop across the street to La Nebbia Winery, open daily; tasting fee $12/per person. Their large outdoor garden patio offers picnic tables and bocce ball.

Goat Yoga is extremely popular, so book soon as it sells out quick!
