Cabin on the Coast
Cabins at Manchester Beach KOA Mendocino
So you’d like to camp on the wild Mendocino coast … except for—you know—that whole pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground thing? A-OK! Actually, it’s KOA! Yes, Manchester Beach KOA surprises with simple, clean, A-frame log cabins that include the basic creature comforts: beds, electricity, heaters, and hardwood floors (so chic!), and some have full bath, tub, and shower (oh yeah).
You’ll also get a small patio and porch swing to call your own, along with a fire ring and picnic table. Spend the day exploring Manchester State Park: 760 acres of sandy beach, dunes, and flat grasslands. Its 5 miles of beach stretches toward Point Arena Lighthouse.
Don’t expect to get a stellar tan here: This wild and rugged coastline is a walk on the wilder and (at times) windy side … but no matter—you’ve got your KOA cabin waiting nearby, less exposed to the elements. There’s also a swimming pool, hot tub, bocce courts, and 18-hole disc golf. A-OK? KOA!
Bring your own bedding (and cooking utensils). Cabins range from simple one-roomers to rather deluxe two-room options and the crème de la crème, deluxe with full bath, tub, and shower. Cabins sleep up to 4 or 6 people. Reservations and information.
