Bike the Oakland Wine Trail

Hop on a bike and then onto the Oakland Wine Trail. This 2-mile route leaves from Jack London Square, rolls past renovated warehouse spaces, ferry terminals, bustling markets, and trendy art districts.

Park near Jack London Square and snag a Lime bike (or bring your own bike) to reach your first destination, Campovida. Based in Mendocino County, Campovida’s Taste of Place offers an assortment of flavorful cheeses that pair nicely with a wide variety of small-batch wines. Head back to the ferry terminal in Jack London Square to reach the Rosenblum Cellars Tasting Room. Kick back on their bayside patio and watch the ferry while noshing on smoked salmon and warm homemade bread. Wash it all down with one of Rosenblum’s 50+ famous Zinfandels.

The home stretch? Head off the beaten path into Urban Legend, located across the street from the Amtrak station in a contemporary building. Unlike the other wineries on this tour, Urban Legend produces its wines right in the heart of Oakland. They source their grapes from all over the state, allowing them to represent the varied flavors of California and the diversity of Oakland.

All the locations we visited provide several tasting-flight, glass, and bottle options. Ford GoBikes may be used between Rosenblum Cellars and Urban Legend although a short walk is needed. All locations are dog-friendly!
